Arts & Crafts: Personalized Name for the Kiddies

As I have said before, I’m decorating. A family member made my son a beautiful quilt with the alphabet and his name on it, and it is so beautiful I decided to hang it above his bed. I wanted my daughter to have something special over her bed that included her name, so I came up with this little project. I can get creative when I want to. Here’s what I did.

Supplies:
All of the supplies were purchased at Michael’s.
Large, thin, wood letters
Paint
Brushes
Drill
String or twine
Tacks

Drill a small hole about 1 inch from the top and into the center of each letter.

If you have letters like "Y," drill two holes in each side.

When you finish drilling holes into each letter, get your paint ready.

I wanted to specialize my letters by adding butterflies and flowers to match my daughter's comforter. You can add your special touches.
