Summer is such a wonderful time of the year as the sun comes out and makes everything look so much brighter and prettier. It makes me feel so happy and really gives added inspiration and motivation to work on interior design ideas. In my eyes, summer is the perfect time to really freshen up your home and transform it into something that reflects the current season. As such, here are a few ideas I had in mind…

Replace Your Curtains With Blinds

I don’t know if it’s just me, but curtains seem like a very wintery thing. They feel quite restrictive, and they don’t really suit the summer vibes. So, my idea is to replace your curtains with some beautiful blinds. There are so many varieties you can choose from, but it’s hard to go wrong with Venetians. The benefit of blinds is that they’re impeccably stylish and really add a sense of modernity to your home. Plus, they’re cute and lightweight, which fuels the summer vibes. Perhaps my favorite aspect of them is that they let you control the natural light levels in your home a lot better than curtains doo. This is so good when it’s summer, and the sun is out!

Bring Some New Smells Into Your Home

Something I love about summer is all the different smells in the air. Everything just smells so fresh and summery. The flowers are fully bloomed, and it’s just gorgeous. So, one idea I have is to bring these smells into your home. There are a couple of ways you can do this, one of which is to get an HVAC Diffuser. This is a diffuser that uses oils to release cold air that smells fresh like flowers – or any other scent you want. It can also be hooked up to an HVAC or AC system to really blast your home full of this fresh scent. The second idea is to get some lovely flowers and fill a beautiful vase full of them in every room in your home. This brings the natural flower scent into your house, instantly freshening it up.

Extend Your Living Space Outdoors

Why focus all your attention on interior design when you can enjoy a bit of exterior design too. Here, my idea is to almost merge the two realms together. If you have a nice patio or decking in your garden, then why don’t you extend your living space out there? These days, you can get loads of luxury outdoor furniture that wouldn’t look out of place in your actual living room. Get a sofa, some chairs, and a lovely dining table outside on your patio. Now, you’ve created a stunning little living space where you can enjoy all the usual home comforts – but with the benefit of some hot weather!

If you’re thinking about freshening up your home this summer, then these three ideas are personal favorites of mine. Give them a try and let me know how they work for you. Hopefully, they’ll breathe new life into your house, making it feel sweet and summery.
