Despite the controversy surrounding it, the Museum of the Bible is an impressive space and served us well. My nephew attended the conference also!

In the summer of 2019, my former coworker from Wesley Theological Seminary in Washington, D.C., Tonya Miles, asked me if I wanted to sit on the board of a new ministry for youth. She and her husband felt God calling them to teach Christian leadership skills to young people. I’ve always loved youth ministry and ministering to children and teens, so I jumped at the chance. For months, we brainstormed about how we were going to teach Christ-centered, leadership principles to youth. Well, after many months of work, I am pleased to say we had our inaugural conference this weekend, and it was a huge success! We had a great group of middle-school and high-school students and an amazing line of workshop facilitators and speakers -including myself. We had the event at the Museum of the Bible in downtown D.C. and the space was impressive. I am excited about our next event and the future.
