Bringing a new baby home is a big moment in your life, but it doesn’t come along without a lot of work! You need to prepare the home, make things safe and peaceful, and spend a lot on baby items to take care of your little one. And even when you’ve put a checklist together, it’s only natural to forget a few things, and you may need to do a double check right now before the registry officially goes out! But don’t worry, we’ve listed some ideas below to jog your memory.

Creams and Pads for You

As a new parent, you’re going to need TLC in the first few months of your baby’s life. You’re going to be a powerhouse for your little one; after all, you’re going to be feeding them, often directly from your own body, as well as changing them, rocking them to calm them down, cleaning up after them, and playing with them when they want some fun.

All in all, you’re going to get much more tired than you’ve ever been before! So you’re going to need a few ointments and creams to help take the edge off; whether you want a bath oil or a nipple balm, be sure to write down what products you’d like to use to reduce aches and pains after a long parenting dya.

Cozy Bedtime Items

Bedtime is going to be hard for the first few months – baby will wake up at least 4 or 5 times a night, and that’s going to be exhausting to contend with. But don’t worry, you’ll soon adjust, especially if you’ve got some cozy bedtime items to help.

Maybe you’ve forgotten about a blanket or a stuffed toy, but that’s easily rectifiable right now. Sleep aids are key for helping your little one get into their routine sooner rather than later, so take a look around now to see which ones you’d like your baby to latch onto.

Similarly, double check to see if you’ve got a baby monitor on your list as well – it’s easy to forget about, especially if you’re going to have baby sleep in the same room as you.

Outdoor Items

And finally, have you considered how you’re going to take baby out and about? You’re going to need a way to travel, as well as a way to carry supplies with you, and you’re going to need a lot of accessories to ensure the weather, temperature, and the people outside don’t affect your little one in any way.

So, if the baby shower is coming up, big purchases like these should be what you’re asking for. And to make sure you’ll get a couple things for the outdoors, be sure to add items from stores like Foryourlittleone to your registry; you should be able to link directly, no matter what site you’re using to create it.

Remember, you’ve got plenty of time to shop for baby, so double check for any missing items.
