He is Risen: Children’s Easter Activity

Happy Easter from my family to yours!

We are excited today because it’s Resurrection Sunday or Easter. This day is the most important day on the Christian calendar because it reminds us that death and the grave no longer have any power over us. As Jesus rose from the dead, we, too, will rise so we no longer have to fear anything including death. The same resurrection power that raised Jesus is the same power living inside of us. There is nothing we cannot do through the power of Jesus Christ.

My children and I watched the crucifixion and resurrection stories on the Bible App for Kids. It’s a great supplemental tool for teaching children Bible stories. After which, we went to church and came home to do an activity that my mom used to do with me and my siblings, dye Easter eggs. Since I couldn’t find a dye kit anywhere, I created the colors the old fashioned way with food coloring, water and vinegar. I added paints for the kids to decorate the eggs, and they had a blast. Here are some photos of my family on this blessed Easter Sunday. May God bless you and your family.
