I have to blog about this product because it’s been a lifesaver for my family. For the past four days, little K has been sick with a fever. The doctors think that it’s due to a virus. K first fell ill Tuesday evening. I came home from work and he was burning up. I tried to take his temperature with the thermometer that I had, but to no avail. My old thermometer is one where you have to put it in the baby’s ear. Well, if your little one is like mine, then it’s virtually impossible to get this thermometer in the ear. K fights me like nobody’s business. When I finally got the thermometer in his ear, it read 97.1, clearly not the correct temperature since I could feel that he was burning up. Eventually, we ended up in the emergency room and found out that K had a temperature of 104. We’ve managed to keep the temperature down over the last several days, but monitoring it has been a frustrating job. That is until I went out and purchased my 3-in-1 thermometer from Safety First. This sounds like an advertisement, but I’m not getting paid for this post. It really is a lifesaver.

I love this thermometer because it’s easy to use—all you have to do is push a button—and it has three different pieces that allow you to take your baby’s temperature. I use the rectal piece because taking the temperature this way gives the most accurate reading. That piece is also great because it’s shaped so you don’t hurt the baby in the process. This is my first favorite thing for babies. If you’re in the market for a thermometer, this is it! Prayerfully, K will recover soon and I won’t need to use it as much.
